Tips on T-shirts

  • Grammage: is the weight of the fabric per square meter. It is not the weight of the shirt as some think. The idea that the higher the grammage, the better the quality is also common and this is not the case. There are t-shirts on the market with a lot of weight at a low price because they are made with regenerated cottons. We also have super fine t-shirts intended for fashion and high price. The ideal weight for normal wear T-shirts is between 150 and 190 grams in combed or semi-combed cotton.
  • Composition: the fabric of the t-shirts can be 100% cotton, 100% polyester, polyester / cotton in different blends or even contain other fibers such as fiber, lycra / elastane, acrylic, polyamide, soy, bamboo, etc ...
  • Washing: all the garments should be washed in lukewarm water, with mildly abrasive soaps and, if possible, the other way around to avoid rubbing inside the drum of the washing machine. If this is fulfilled, the result of the garment itself and the resistance of the silkscreen, embroidery, transfer, vinyl or strass will be very satisfactory.
  • Washing white garments: there are people who wash these garments at a higher temperature and with bleach. Of course, we are not responsible for the result ...
  • Measurements: the measurements of the garments can vary in cold up to 5%. On the other hand, when printing and drying the shirts, they shrink a little and do not return to their original size until they are washed.

Other garments

By default, we always talk about t-shirts, but our range covers more than 1000 references in clothing and accessories:

  • Summer Garments: Polos, Shirts, Vests, Tops, ...
  • Winter Garments: Sweatshirts, Fleeces, Raincoats, Jackets, Sweaters, Softshells, Pants, ...
  • Sportswear: T-shirts, Shorts, Tracksuits, Swimsuits, ...
  • Workwear: Shirts, Vests, Pants, Aprons, Gowns, ...
  • Dress Accessories: Buffs, Neck Scarves, Caps, Towels, Umbrellas, Bibs, ...
  • Household Accessories: Kitchen Rags, Bread Bags, ...

Care in the washing of all textile products

  • All clothing items are labeled with the washing tips. These instructions must be followed and even more so if the garments are personalized.
  • If you wash the garments with mildly abrasive soaps, at the right temperature and turned inside out as much as possible, the long-term result will be excellent.
  • Remember that there are fabrics that are ironed and others that should not be ironed, in any case, never iron over personalization or the printing will melt in almost any technique.

How to send the originals to print? Intervention of our designers.

A good image can make a good impression, a bad image will never make a perfect impression. Think about it before sending us your originals.

  • To work comfortably in Screen Printing, Sublimation, Transfer or Copitrans and obtain the best result, we need the original, preferably in vector format (Freehand, Illustrator or PDF), or else an image at 300 dpi print size (tiff, jpeg, png, psd).
  • If the image sent in Freehand or Illustrator contains texts, these must be vectorized (paths / outlines). If we have to add texts, it will always be with fonts existing in our systems. We do not accept that the client send us their font, we cannot be sure that the fonts are copyrighted.
  • If the image you send us is heavy, better use Dropbox, Wetransfer or a similar platform.
  • In cutting vinyl we need a design in vector format (Freehand, Illustrator or PDF)
  • In print and cut vinyl, the file can be vector or real size at 300 dpi. Printing is done with a printing plotter similar to an inkjet printer.
  • For embroidery and rhinestones, with images at 72 dpi we have enough.
  • For direct-to-garment printing, also called DTG or Digital Printing, we need the images in CMYK with a transparent background.
  • For Full Print in Sublimation, we need vectorized originals or more or less life-size images with the highest possible definition.
  • There are programs widely used by the public that are dangerous when changing the font or typeface, removing accents and punctuation, etc ... And all this without warning. We do not recommend using PowerPoint, Excel, Word and the like.
  • We do not design logos. We are not a design agency that could prepare several originals to choose from. We limit ourselves to adapting your original to be able to print it.
  • Yes, we can change sizes and colors or add texts (if you send them to us in writing in the body of the e-mail), always with good will, but think exactly what you want before placing your order, to avoid unnecessary retouching that we would end up charging.
  • Prior notice to the client, we will charge for the retouching of poor quality or pixelated images so that the result is correct. We will also charge for especially complicated jobs that require more than half an hour of work from our designers per order.
  • For any questions, ask us, we enjoy our work and we gladly give explanations.

What is the Virtual mockup?

We call a virtual mockup a document that contains the design of the garment with the location of the desired prints. This document helps us to confirm that the customer has correctly interpreted their order and also serves as a guide for the print shop.

In this document we put the reference, the pantones used if it is in screen printing, the measurements of the print and its approximate location, taking into account that the proportions of the print may vary depending on the sizes of the garments.

The color of the garment in the model is indicative, because each manufacturer has its range of colors and, although we try to be as similar as possible, the model is not a reference to the color of the fabric of the garments.

The model has a cost that we include in the Technical Expenses with its first rectification, but we ask that you give us the designs with a specific idea of size, location, color, texts, etc ... so as not to have to repeat and rectify models uselessly and avoid we charge them.

The question is out of place: Can you make me 3 models and I choose one? That has a cost ...

When the client approves the mockup, he is responsible for reviewing all its details: garment color, colors, sizes and location of the printing, spelling of the texts, accents, dates, etc ... Any change after approving the mockup will have a cost .

Copyright conditions

We are dedicated to personalizing the garments chosen by the client with the designs that they send us. When a client sends us a logo, photograph or design, they must own all rights, if they exist.

By approving the quote, the client certifies that he has the rights to use the attached designs and that he accepts the copyright conditions. Therefore, the client exempts Eagle Cheap Wholesales from liability for possible claims by third parties regarding the use without permission of designs subject to:

  • Copyright and Image Rights
  • Intellectual or industrial property
  • Privacy of natural persons

In case of doubt, our sales representatives will have a document signed acknowledging that the client has these image rights.

Of course we do not print any known brand except to their legitimate owners or authorized dealers, do not be surprised if we ask you.

Technical expenses

We consider Technical Expenses everything necessary to start the order, when we serve processed orders: printed, embroidered, with change of labels, etc ... and these always depend on the printing technique used.

Many Expenses are not charged or only in the first order, as is the case with Embroidery. In others such as Serigraphy, they are also charged in some repetitions.

Of course, if the orders are not processed (without stamping, labeling or bagging), no Technical Expenses are generated.

Two details to keep in mind:

  • In orders made up of several designs, the same technical expenses are required for each design, so the garment price column corresponding to the order quantity of that design is applied, they are not added together.
  • On the other hand, if an order has several printing techniques: DTG on the chest and serigraphy on the back for example, only a model will be made that includes the two techniques used, but also, the images will have to be adapted to both techniques.

      • If the customer gives us their fabric labels, there are no technical costs (we reserve acceptance according to the type of label).

What printing technique do I use? Can you advise me?

Our origin is in Textile Screen Printing and that is why we tend to prioritize this technique over the others.
It is true that our workshop is very large, modern and well organized in that suitable and cheap technique, for small and large orders with spot colors.

We also master all the other techniques that we offer: Sublimation, Embroidery, Vinyl, Transfer, DTG, etc ... and each of them is useful to personalize some products and not others.

We will always advise you if you are not clear in advance, and sometimes even if you ask us directly for a technique, if we think it is more convenient or cheaper, we will tell you. To advise you, we will need to know the model and color of the garment, the quantity and urgency of the order and above all, see the image to be printed at the desired size.

Minimum order

We sell wholesale and, with few exceptions, the minimum order is 10 units per model and color.

There are items that suppliers require us to sell in multiples of 5, 10 or 25 per size and color.

Doubts and details of Serigraphy

Silkscreen Photoliths:

  • To produce the silkscreen screen, a photolith is required that masks the parts to be printed at the time of insolation.
  • As you need one screen per color, you will also need one photolith per color.
  • Formerly we made them by photographic process, but new technologies allow us to make them with a laser printer or plotter, saving on costs and time.
  • We do not accept customer's photos. We print in Argentona and the sending of the photolith by courier to the factory supposes an additional cost and not a saving.
  • Its cost is included in the technical expenses of screen printing.
  • If a garment has two prints of the same motif but of different size, two photos are made. This also works for screens.
  • There is no problem in delivering the photolith to the customer, but the customer is responsible for not damaging or misplacing it and for returning it in the event of a repeat order.
  • We keep a file with the clients' photoliths for a minimum of 5 years guaranteed, or we repeat the photolith free of charge in case of loss during this period.

Screen Printing Screens:

  • We do not accept customer screens. Each screen printing octopus uses its own anchoring systems to register the colors and we use ours. We use metal screens and not wood like most small workshops.
  • We do not deliver the screens to the customer. In the technical expenses we charge the use of the screen (emulsification, drying, registration of the photolith, insolation, development, drying and revision), not the screen that costs more than 60 US dollars by itself.
  • In case of repetition, we charge 50% of the Technical Expenses and that includes re-creating the necessary screens.
  • "Color change" is the fact of disassembling the machine, washing screens and scrapers and re-inking a different color. It is charged when a client within the same order wants some garments printed in one color and others in another.
  • The machines that print flat garments (T-shirts, sweatshirts, polo shirts, etc…) and those that print shaped garments (caps, bags, umbrellas,…) are different and use different screens. For example, if the same print goes on the heart of the shirt and on the front of the cap, we will charge two technical expenses.

Screen Printing Inks:

  • We are guided by the Pantone U range to reference colors, but we do not have pantone inks for textile printing, therefore we make inks the closest possible color to the color indicated by the client. It must be understood that the final resulting color after drying of the garment takes into account many parameters that are not always controllable: color and composition of the garment, ambient temperature and humidity, temperature and drying time, pressure and number of strokes of the scrapes, etc ... Screen printing on textiles is not the same as offset printing on white paper and we ask the customer to understand it.
  • We basically print with approved and certified plastisols without phthalates, which are not very harmful to the environment. We use the best inks available on the market to give the best possible product.
  • We can print with metallic or fluorescent inks, its cost is double that of printing with normal ink.
  • It is not possible to stamp on seams because the paint opens and the machine would have to be cleaned after each stamping.
  • Full Print: it is the printing of the entire garment and in screen printing that is done before making it. We only sell imported garments already made, which is why it is impossible to make this type of printing.
  • Photography: on a few occasions, in large quantities and only on white t-shirts, we can print four-color photographs with an acceptable result. We recommend printing the photos in DTG, classic transfer, copitrans or vinyl.

Silkscreen printing measurements:

  • Normal measurements included in the prices:
    • Front or back t-shirt: 30 x 30 cm.
    • T-shirt on the short sleeve: 9 wide x 9 high
    • 5 panel cap front: 9 wide by 5 high (if it fits in the model)
    • Depending on the product, the surface may vary. Consult the salesperson.
  • XL Screen Printing Measurements:
    • Front or back t-shirt: 38 x 45 cm.
  • Consult us for other measures, if it can be done and at what cost.

Conditions of Digital Printing or DTG

Print your Design

We work with Kornit machinery, the best printer on the market, but it is still a CMYK printer with its limitations in terms of pantone color accuracy. We cannot be held responsible for the 100% accuracy of the tones, or that the visual effect is identical to that of the customer's printer or screen. There are no fluorescent, metallic, or other effects inks.

Printing on colored fabric is not the same as on white paper, especially when printing photos. The result is good, but never identical. Our work is limited to adapting the image that the client gives us to print it to the desired size, it does not include color correction, contrasts, etc ... The client must give us the image ready to print, in JPG, PDF, TIFF or in format vector with traced fonts and always with transparent background. If the image that the client gives us is of low quality, the print will be of low quality. Any extra retouching or modification of the design will be charged separately.

DTG Special Conditions

  • The minimum order is 10 garments. We accept lower orders but always for Stock items. Columns of less than 10 units are only for special cases, samples, etc ... That does not oblige us to accept orders of 1 unit.
  • The prices presented in the rates are only for T-shirts. As long as it can be done on polo shirts, bags, etc ... as they are difficult garments, 20% more will be charged.
  • Our rates are calculated based on a maximum impression of 70% coverage. We reserve the right to change the price if the coverage of your specific image is greater, always giving prior notice, of course.
  • The prices applied are for a number of shirts with the same design, without changing colors, sizes, etc ...
  • In orders for t-shirts with different designs, white and colored, the lower column will be applied. Specially assorted orders, request a quote.
  • We recommend using good quality garments. We do not do it on low-weight and / or low-quality shirts.
  • We can print on cotton Granite Polo, taking into account that the fabric is rough and may slightly distort the image.
  • We only print on the front and back of adult t-shirts; impossible to do it in the sleeves. Infants and Babies, consult.
  • Ask if you want to print on other cotton garments: Sweatshirts, Bags, Aprons, etc ...
  • It is impossible to print on Polyester, Nylon, Lycra, etc ...
  • We print on long-handle bags of a certain thickness and quality. Maximum print size 25 x 25 cm.
  • The normal delivery time can be lengthened depending on the quantity: it is an artisan and meticulous process.

Originals and Embroidery Pickings:

  • From the original that the client gives us, we make the punching (tape, program or punching) through professional design programs that transform the areas to be embroidered into stitches.
  • Photos or images with shades, gradients, etc… cannot be reproduced in embroidery.
  • We accept that the client sends us by mail his cuttings made by another embroiderer; we have translation programs to adapt it to our machines, but each machine may vary details. To avoid problems, if you give us your pick, also send us a photo of sufficient quality of the embroidery made by another embroiderer.
  • We also deliver to the client who requires it a copy of the picking via e-mail.

  • The embroidery is charged by stitches, so its price does not depend on the size or the number of colors.
  • To give a price we will need to see the image, know the quantity, size of the embroidery and type of garment.
  • For embroidery, we preferably use Madeira threads of quality recognized throughout the world.
  • We also have metallic threads for gold, silver and bronze effects, very useful in sports, military shields, etc… They are somewhat more expensive than colored threads, indicate in your budget request that you want to embroider on metal.
  • We also use the Pantone U references to choose the colors, but the ranges of threads do not have the richness and variety that the pantonera has. Therefore the colors will always be approximate.
  • We do not do 3D or embossed embroidery. Those seen in the market are made on the fabric before making the garment, in the East and in significant quantities.

Embroidered badges or patches:

  • We can embroider in the form of patches and apply a thermo-adhesive base to make their placement easier.
  • Apart from fixing the shields to your garments by ironing, we advise you to secure them by sewing them.

We only use eco-solvent inks for vinyl printing. These are slightly less solid in the sun than solvent inks, but much less harmful to the environment and work well under normal conditions of use and washing.

There are details that cannot be cut to small sizes like accents or small letters, for example.

  1. We print in offset what we want to print on a special paper that serves as a support and, finally, a layer of resin is printed in serigraphy that acts as a carrier for the stamping.
  2. We make a minimum of 50 "transfers" and the maximum stamping size is 28x40cm. The unit price depends on both the total quantity and the quantity that goes into each format.
  3. The transfer always has a thin border (1mm approx.) Of color, usually the same as the garment.
  4. The above must be taken into account if the same transfer is put on garments of different colors.

    • Once you have chosen the garments that interest you from our catalog and knowing what you want to print, in how many colors and for what quantity, you can contact us in our stores, at the information telephone number 209-962-9559 or by mail to obtain a detailed budget.
    • You can also calculate the budget yourself if it is a simple order and download it in pdf and share it with your partners, friends, ...
    • If your order is especially large (more than 1000 items) or especially urgent, it is better not to waste time. Call us by phone!
    • When you have the exact budget and we have verified the availability of the products and the delivery time, you must confirm the order in our stores or by e-mail, including the order number that we have indicated in the budget.
    • When you indicate models, sizes and colors, please do so in a detailed and intelligible way and review it to avoid errors.
    • Bear in mind that the agreed delivery period depends on our having all the necessary information for its realization: model, sizes, colors, image to print and sizes, delivery information, billing information and proof of payment. Any delay in these details may delay the delivery time.
    • You have to send us the drawings, logos, etc ... to print or embroider and (if possible) a sketch of the stamping situation (small heart, large back, front of the cap, etc. .).
    • If you place your order in an Eagle store, you will leave your originals with the person who attends you.
    • On our page we explain how we need you to deliver the originals to obtain perfect prints or embroidery.
    • Once we have all the necessary information and proof of payment, we will send you a virtual model of the order in pdf for approval or modification. This mockup is free and the first mod too. From then on, modifications not due to our faults will be charged.
    • We recommend not taking too long to give the OK to the virtual model so as not to delay the order.
    • If the order is placed in our stores in Washington DC or Florida and the customer wants to pick up his order once finished in the same store, the payment will be 50% in advance and 50% upon collection of the order.
    • If the sale is processed online or in store, with direct delivery to an address, as long as the order is less than 1000 US dollars, it will be paid in full in advance.
    • If the order amount exceeds 1000 US dollars, the customer can pay 50% upon confirmation to launch production and the rest when we notify them that the order is finished and ready to ship, never upon delivery. Any delay in justifying the payment may lead to a delay in delivery, without the right to claim.

    • You can also pay by Visa / Mastercard in the store or online with Visa / Mastercard Online or Paypal (+ 2%)
    • If the client pays online, they must send us proof of deposit, transfer or payment in Visa / Mastercard to launch their order. If you do not do so and wait for the amount to appear in the account, it may be delayed a couple of days and this will necessarily affect the agreed delivery date.
    • 200 or 500 bills are not accepted in stores, nor checks when collecting the merchandise.
    • Please do not ask us, WE DO NOT SELL WITHOUT VAT.
    • In the event that we agree with the client, the collection directly from our workshop in Argentona (Washington DC) must be at the indicated time and the order must be fully paid. The workshop does not charge Visa / Mastercard or cash.
    • Within the delivery time agreed in the budget, we will notify you so that you can pick up the order in the store or receive it at your home address. In that case you will always receive an email with the shipping number and the carrier's telephone number to specify a schedule if necessary.

Pedidos no retirados.

Marcaje defectuoso
